Akto County is a county in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China. It is under the administration of the Kyrgyz autonomous prefecture of Kizilsu. The county has 2 towns, 11 townships, 4 state-owned farms and a plant nursery under its jurisdiction, the county seat is Akto Town. The county contains an area of 24.555 km 2 and has a population of 231.756.
Akto is the border of the Western region of China. Point to the North of the river Markansu 瑪爾坎蘇河 on the Chinese-Tajik border is the most southern point of China. District located in the southwest of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous region, to the East of the plateau of Pamir, and on the Western edge of the Tarim basin. It is located between 73°265" - 76°4331" East longitude and 37°4128" - 39°2955" North latitude. It is bordered by the County and Wuqia County Shufu in the North district of the Shule and the 41st regiment of XPCC across the river Yuepuhu 岳普湖河 in the North-East, by County Yingjisha, Shache County on the East, for the districts of khulm in the South. In the West and South-West connected with Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, the border line is more than 380 kilometers.
